St Andrew's Church
Netherton

WELCOME!

Welcome to St Andrew's Church Netherton, a beautiful grade 2 listed building just south of Dudley.

Our services are at 10:30am 4 Sundays a month, 3 of which will be Holy Communion.  We have a love of singing, and are blessed to have a talented organist and choir who lead our services each week.

We are an open friendly church, who welcome everyone without exception: young or old, rich or poor, able or not:

If you who have much faith, and you who would like to have more;  you who have been to communion often, and you who have not been for a long time;

you who have tried to follow Jesus, and you who have failed.

You are all welcome here.

Our Worship

We understand that churches can be scary places, and sometimes the hardest thing isn't gettiing out of bed, or walking up to the church, but coming through the front door.  This can be for a variety of reasons,  not sure what to expect, not knowing someone,  expectation on how to behave, will I have to sing/stand/dance (you don't).

As someone who came to faith in my late 20's and having 3 young children, as the minister, and having been on the otherside, I understand the challenges.

We want everyone to feel welcome in our church, if you are new or unsure, if you have any special requirements or needs, then please talk to our wardens who are on hand to guide and assist.

Worship begins on Sunday at 10:30 and lasts around about 1hr and is of a middle Anglican tradition, with sung settings, and hymns accompanied by our wonderful organ and led by our choir.

We celebrate communion at 3 times a month, to which all who know and love the Lord Jesus are welcome to attend, but if you are uncertain, then it is absolutely fine to remain seated or simply receive a blessing.

Mothers Union

The mothers union, meet in the Old Swan Netherton on the first Monday of the month at 11:30am.

Graveyard Search

Our  graveyard is between 7 and 9.5 acres, depending on who you talk to, with 10's of thousands of graves.
If you are looking for someone in particular, we might be able to help, but do please remember that the records are all paper based and a search by hand required.

There is a fee set by the national church per search, and we cannot guarantee we will find what you are looking for as a lot of the records were destroyed during a flood.  Please submit any enquiries through our contact us form.

Online Giving

Whilst we have been successful as a church in growing our congregation and our giving, we are facing a 450% increase in our utilities, to put that in context, we going from £3k to £15k in the next year.

The best way is to give is via Bank Transfer or the Parish Giving Scheme, which allows you to easily make a regular donation.  Alternatively, for one off donations, 'give a little' support charities making payments via contactless in church and online through our website.

We lose a small amount in the transaction, but consider it worthwhile to remove the need to handle cash.
If you are a UK tax payer, please Gift Aid your donation, we can reclaim a further 25% from the HMRC.

To make a one off donation, you can access the site here

If you would like to become a regular giver, then could we encourage you to register with Parish Giving?
